桌遊「本身」屬於非書。有些研究桌遊的或桌遊所隨附的附件(如說明書或小冊子)則有可能是圖書。

桌上遊戲是指針對卡片遊戲、圖板遊戲、骰牌遊戲，及其他在桌上多人玩的遊戲。廣義的桌遊也包括象棋、撲克、麻將等，桌遊的特性是不依賴電子設備和電子產品。若圖書館有收藏此類資料，在LDR/06 紀錄類型(Type of record)位址上應記錄為k。
