內容
The article provides a guide to help U.S. librarians understand the Resource Description and Access (RDA), the new cataloging standard that will replace the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, 2nd edition, in late 2010. The changes include the elimination of the use of "main entry," the guidelines on cataloging digital resources, and the support for clustering bibliographic records to show links between works and their creators. It also explains the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR), the conceptual reference model underpinning RDA.
